Bogatell, the locals' beach

Past the Olympic port, Bogatell widens the sand and turns the tourism dial down: this is where the volleyball clubs meet and the neighborhood comes to play petanque under the palms.

Room for everyone

The beach is more generous and the crowd more local: easier to spread a towel in August without invading your neighbor. The sports courts at the back of the promenade organize the active life of the stretch.

Volleyball and beach sports

The volleyball courts are Bogatell's social heart: games run morning to night at surprisingly serious levels. Bring your own ball if you play; sit and watch if you don't.

Easy access, no car

The yellow metro line a ten-minute walk away and a bike lane the whole promenade. Cycling from the center along the seafront is half an hour of the city's best.
